So, any writers out there going to dive into the month long frenzied writing thing called NaNoWriMo this November?
If you’re sitting there going ‘NaNoWha??’ take a look here and here for more info and inspiration. Go on, then, take a look then come back here. *shoves* G’on. Now, what do you think? Gonna give it whirl?
See, I have this problem where I have tons of great ideas that–while I might jot down a few notes here n there–they remain merely ideas. Merely gleams in my mind’s eye…droplets of red ink on the tip of my pen…wisps–you get the idea. I’m hoping talking NaNoWriMo with fellow writers will inspire me to focus n carry on with one or two of said ideas…we’ll see. I figure if I can dedicate my mornings to my WIP for NaNoWriMo during November, quite possibly I could carry that on after the month is over–instead of scribbling a few notes here and there for ‘later’.
There are lots of tip posts going up lately where veteran NaNoWriMo-ers spout wisdom–have you seen some good ones? Do tell.
Also, do let me know if you plan to give it a go and let’s hoo-rah each other along, shall we?

I developed an idea for a scene in a book from a weird dream I had about two years ago. I wrote the scene down in a notebook and that’s where it has been ever since.
I think signing up for NaNoWriMo would definitely help motivate me to actually do something with that idea. I think it would be a lot of fun to give it a go. I guess I need to make a decision and get signed up huh.

Definitely doing it this year.
But this year, I’ve actually nailed down a topic, workable plot and a couple of character sketches. So …. I’m ready!! (no fingers crossed – check!)
And though I’m wondering just whether I’m actually going to have a work-in-progress manuscript at the end, I’m actually excited!
Last year, my mouth said yes let’s do this, but unknown to me, my fingers were crossed behind my back.
