The LongShortStories Short Story Contest

The LongShortStories Short Story Contest

Monday I posted a list of writing contests currently running, which I hope you’ve entered, but it was brought to my attention that I left one out. I could have added it to the list as requested, but Wayne is a great friend of ours here at The Blue Inkwell, and I felt a special blog post was in order.

The LongShortStories Short Story Contest is now underway and they are looking for the best original and unpublished stories out there. The contest is free and entries must be 2500 words or less.

The first through third-place winners will have their names and stories posted on Wayne’s blog for one month and archived for future readers to enjoy.

The first place winner will receive a basic website package which is valued at approximately $800.00. Second and third place will receive a cash award and a one year subscription to LongShortStories.

This is a biannual contest and the first contest runs from January 1st until June 30th. The second contest runs from July 1st until December 31st.

Be sure to visit Wayne at LongShortStories for more information and let us know how you do!

Yep, Crystal. Good call on this one. In addition to being one of the most personable fellas out there, Wayne is a prolific, outstanding writer.

Writers, if you are going to enter ANY contests this year, Long Short Stories is the place to be.
