Okay, so the new blog schedule calls for posts on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays…I know. And the first week of the new schedule I’m going to break my own lets-not-stress-the-freelancer rules and post twice in the same day. What can I say? I’m just a rule-breaker kinda gal.
But I thought this little newsflash warranted an interruption to our regularly scheduled programming.
As most of you know, I’m a member of SheWrites, a forum for all incarnations of women writers, at all stages of their writing life. I really wish I had more time to devote to the community over there, as I’ve met some positively wonderful women writers with unbelievable talent there!
This morning, I had a little time to dawdle over on SheWrites. I spotted a post from Meg Waite Clayton in the Blogging about Books and Writing group telling everyone about the SheWrites B&W Blogger Ball blog hop. (You’ll have to join SheWrites if you want to read her post.) Since I’m always on the look-out for blog promotion/new blog finding adventures, naturally her post piqued my interest. My interest was further piqued when I read C.M. Villani’s comments about a badge hunt for the blog hop. She even offers up some tutorials for creating blog badges with scroll boxes for visitors to copy.
The B&W Blogger Ball starts Thursday, Feb 17 (that’s tomorrow!) and ends Sunday, Feb 20. All you have to do? Join SheWrites. Join Meg Clayton’s group (Blogging about Books and Writing.) Post an advice-for-writers/bloggers type post, then go visit fellow SheWriter blogs and leave comments! Meg asks that you commit to visiting 8 other blogs over the 4 day Blogger Ball. With Villani’s badge hunt, you can pick up a few badges from fellow bloggers to help show your support.
So, ladies…are you in? I’m off to go find some fun new blogs…and come up with an advice-y-type post for the blog hop…and create a badge for the blog (maybe, if it doesn’t give me a headache.)

UPDATE: Check out those cool new badges over there! Try one out and let me know if it works for ya!
